A 1986 issue of the Japanese Famitsu magazine featured very detailed instructions on how to activate a “Koopa Troopa walking backwards” glitch in the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2, known internationally as Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, presented as a comic.

Here, the comic is followed up by footage of the glitch (taken from my own post covering this glitch previously on the Supper Mario Broth Twitter account); note the Koopa Troopa turning around and starting to walk backwards when the last step (getting hit by the Fire Bar as seen in panel 7 of the comic) is performed.
